Welcome to the Team: Yerin Ko
We are pleased to welcome Yerin Ko to the EVALCORP team as our newest Research Assistant!
Yerin brings experience in applied research and evaluation with expertise in the sectors of educational technology, early childhood education, and behavioral health.
Before joining the EVALCORP team, she worked at an educational technology consulting firm where she supported the development and evaluation of digital learning tools and instructional interventions in educational settings. She also interned at PBS SoCal, where she supported family and community engagement efforts and disseminated educational content to school-aged children.

Q: If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?
Yerin: I’m a huge foodie, so this question is tough! But if I had to choose, it would be “gookbap,” which is a Korean meal made up of hot soup and rice. I can’t go a week without Korean food, and there are so many soup varieties I’d never get bored or sick of it!
Q: What everyday activity would you win a gold medal in if it were suddenly an Olympic event and why?
Yerin: Power napping! I’m able to fall asleep really quickly and feel fully rested after a 20-minute nap—proud to have converted many of my friends to cut their 1+ hour naps down to 20 minutes. 😊
Q: What most excites you about joining the EVC team and why?
Yerin: Joining a team that strives for excellence in both the evaluation work and in building relationships with clients and the community. Working alongside colleagues who are united in this goal has been super encouraging, and I’m excited to learn and contribute to this mission moving forward.
Q: What skill are you most excited about sharing with our clients, team, and communities?
Yerin: I’m most excited to utilize my mixed-methods research skills to conduct useful evaluation work for our clients and my attention to detail to support the unique needs of each project and team member.
