Welcome to the Team: Julie McDougal
We are excited to welcome Julie McDougal to the EVALCORP team as our Administrative and Human Resources Manager!
Julie oversees administrative functions and human resource management, ensuring operational excellence and compliance across the firm. In this role, she maintains a strong focus on talent acquisition, employee engagement, and policy development. She is an expert at strategic problem-solving and cross-divisional collaboration.
Julie has years of experience in administration and human resources work. Prior to joining EVALCORP, she led Administrative Operations and HR departments at a community-focused consulting firm as well as a dynamic, small business start-up. Additionally, she’s enjoyed many years providing management and customer service within the bicycle retail industry.
Q: If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?
Tacos! Tacos can be prepared in so many different ways, and while I’m a big fan of the traditional favorites here in SoCal, I also love how restaurants incorporate flavors from different cultures. On a recent trip to Hawaii, I had bulgogi pork tacos with kimchi, jalapeños, Asian pear, and Thai chili aioli. They were mind-blowing.
Q: What everyday activity would you win a gold medal in if it were suddenly an Olympic event and why?
I’m a pro at picnicking. Any meal is better when enjoyed outdoors, so I keep a folding table, chairs, and a blanket in my car at all times just in case. While I love to pack up carefully curated bites and ride my bike to a secluded, scenic spot, I’m also just as happy grabbing takeout and heading to a local park.
Q: What most excites you about joining EVC team and why?
I am so excited to work with a diverse group of people who all highly value curiosity, caring, conscientiousness, and collaboration. It’s a really special team, and their projects’ positive impact on our communities makes this job even more rewarding.
Q: What skill are you most excited about sharing with our clients, team, and communities?
I’m excited to use my listening and communication skills to be a trusted resource for our staff and clients. Seeking understanding is the first step in developing thoughtful initiatives that will contribute to Evalcorp’s positive, inclusive culture and organizational development.
